How to online check in

​Introduction
Have you ever being a victim of long queues at the airport? We take you step by step through a simple method of how to online check-in at the comfort of your workplace, hotel, home, car, etc. 

Step one: Identification 
Visit the website of the airline you had made reservations and log in. Identify yourself by entering your flight details which include: the e-ticket number or the booking code you had received earlier when you made reservations. Fill in your particulars and those of your companion/s if any. It is also important that you indicate whether you have luggage or not during check-in. 

Step two: Flight Selection
Choose the flight of your choice and enter the flight number. 

Step three: Seat Reservation 
Check-in for the flight you chose in (two) above and reserve your preferred seat. 

Step four: Confirmation and Boarding Pass

Step five: 
Drop off Check-in Luggage Before your stipulated departure time, for most airports, it’s 30 hours to 2 hours, drop-off your check-in luggage at the drop-off point indicated at the airport. Confirm with the airline the specified time for drop-off or closing of the point. Afterward, proceed to the boarding gate. 

You can cancel your online check-in in case you want to change to another flight. You can do this by logging in to the airline’s website and identify yourself by entering your e-ticket or booking code, then proceed to cancel your online check-in once you have located your information. 

Unaccompanied passengers under the age of 18 are not allowed to use online check-in services. Most of the airlines advise their passengers who require special assistance to check-in directly at the check-in points located at the respective airlines. Commonly airlines do not allow someone who has a book of more than ten people to check-in online. Online check-in enables passengers to get updates on incoming departure and weather information.
